5-20-10 tuckertown lake..
« on: May 20, 2010, 10:00:36 AM »

from the yak...
i bought the yak last winter. my main goal for this year was to catch a decent bass from my yak..

i went out in the pre dawn hours this morning with da yak. i put in at the upper bridge of newsome creek,on tuckertown lake..i only took the frog stick and the spinnerbait rod...

after paddlin a hundred yards it was on..

yep it is a runt but a nice start.

this one here hit right under the nose of the yak i was with in 6" of pulling it out of the water-don't ya just hate that

i eased up in a small patch of hydrilla on the surface..and OMG!!! she hit the frog like a truck..i set a goal to catch a good fish this year... GOAL ACHIEVED!!

after losing the last frog in the boat.darnit!! i switched over to a spinnerbait..
and fishing along the grass line..

come on pretty girl smile, i'll make ya famus....lol...

i caught 3 more not pictured. the big fish would go 5 pounds plus...

yeah i know "southern bass"..it just proves you can catch decent fish from a yak..don't hack it till you've done it..
