I heard from a club member last week that water levels in Kent were two feet low.  I called the park office last Wednesday and they confirmed it.
The dam at Portage Lake was put in within days of Kent and water levels have been fine for weeks now.  Portage lake is down stream from kent.

Kensington told me that everything humanly possible had been done and was being done. She blamed water levels on lack of rain.

Several questions:
Has anyone been there in the past week to confirm low levels?
Does anybody know why levels are so low?

I'd like to fish Kent soon but I also like my lower unit.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Was there yesterday morning.   Water was really low and dirty.  Lots of weed growth already.   Didn't look like much current coming in.   Did see a couple beds really shallow..  Best part was photographing the eagles on the nest.   Won't be going back.  If you go be careful.   Rick's island just west of the launch is very shallow.  They even have buoys marking it.

It's 2 ft up from 2 weeks ago... Still 1-2 ft low... I fished there today for 4 hrs. Caught a bunch. All big fish. 4.8 was the biggest.
