I've had 17 days off straight, so I thought it was time to pull out the brush.  Here's a few new baits I've painted the past few days.  Shoot me a PM for the recipes (I'm too tired to type it all out right now :D ).

Do you give lessons?

On the list of things to do once I retire.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Why wait until you retire?  There's a lot of time between now and the end of April to get started!  I wouldn't mind getting together and painting up baits with some people.  Kinda like what Josh did in the barn last year with pouring baits.  That would be kinda cool.

Nah, painting t-shirts just doesn't seem like it would be that fun (unless I was someplace tropical during spring break or something - I would learn how to paint palm trees and beer cans for a trip south right now).

When you are in any contest you should work as if there whereto the very last minute a chance to loose it.

I bought all of those bodies from Jann's.  I really like the looks of the flat baits with the circuit board lips.  If they run as good as they look then they are a really good deal.  I have another 3 styles or so that I still have to paint up that are deeper runners.  The fat guys will run 0-3, the flat baits 5-7, the yellow-striped bait will go down about 8-10, and the electric perch bait is in the neighborhood of 15 or so.  That deep diver should be a good bait to dredge the rocks on Clair in the Spring.

Those look really good...I would like to try that someday.  With the slowdown I seem to have more time on my hands...

Those flat sided ones remind me of RC 1.5s

Those are nice!!! Great job. I especially like the ones with the chartreuse stripes.
