I am updating www.greatlakesbass.com/bassboys/ to show the 2016 TBF of Michigan membership information. I have 2 persons in already so time to get those club dues in before December 31st if you can by mailing or paying online, ASAP please so we can be a valid club in good standing ready for the 2016 season.

I do not know any details about the 2016 TBF of Michigan state championship yet but will share that as soon as possible. President Dave Reault is setting up a meeting for the clubs and members at the upcoming Ultimate Fishing Show where that my get announced, along with having MDNR Fisheries Division staff present to give a presentation on Michigan bass fishing and the Michigan Fishing Tournament Information System.

Sorry I was so late I forgot about it. Did I get it in  in time?

Got to admit that is the most frustrating thing I have tried to do.  Having tried 3 times to fish as a boater,  twice paying my money and never hearing anything and finally giving up last year and fishing as a non boater.  I did have a fun day with Heath.  Not sure I want to spend the money again.  Guess I will wait and see where the lake is.

Yes you did. I forgot to send out an email reminder to everyone so I'm really the one behind. Thanks!

Well, I don't like to hear that - sorry. You weren't in my club last year were you? I think the year before. I hope I do a better job if you join The Bass Boys. I go by the date and time you pay your dues so the earlier you join the better.

I still need 2 more to make 6. I already have 2 non-boaters joined who usually fish with only 1 boater so the next boater who joins should get to fish as a boater. (I'm in but I probably won't fish.)

I'm hoping we find out when and where the TBF state championship is at the meeting January 8th, 6pm at the Ultimate Fishing Show (Stage B). Dave hasn't confirmed or denied yet that he'll be announcing it then but I've urged it, and hope that is the plan.

Meanwhile, Dave is looking for more helpers to run things since that is the hardest part of being a volunteer organization. It is kind of up to the club presidents to keep their members notified of things so I try to do that as best I can. Whatever club you're in, keep in contact with your club president, get in early and make your intentions known early. If you can sign up with a non-boater that can guarantee you get to fish as a boater too.
