I had several requests to post a picture here of the various bass rigs we were demonstrating at GreatLakesBass.com booth 5714 there. Here it is:

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

The drop shot rigs are a wacky-rigged Nemesis drop shot worm with a thin weed-friendly drop shot weight, and a Dream Shot worm nose-hooked on a hook I swiped from Kevin's boat with a Tungsten round drop shot weight for deeper, open water or current.

The Jika (pronounced zeka) Rig is homemade with a bass weight 3/8's ounce with two split rings connected between a 'J' worm hook and the sinker. The lure is an Xtreme Bass Tackle beaver creature in Lake St. Clair Crayfish.

The Neko Rig shows the actual rig (L) and the wire loop (R) that is inside the hard rubber nob that covers the wire worm holder screw in piece that makes up the rig's most important feature. I have a Lunker City lead nail inserted into the head of the Nemesis Drop Shot worm on the (L) and a Kustom Kicker Jigs insert weight inserted into the head of a Jackall Flick Shake worm on the right.

The Chicken Rig is something new the Gary Yamamoto came up with in the last year or two apparently. I think it is somewhat like a weedless/snag-resistant Neko Rig. You thread the hook into the worm above the 'egg sack' and down a ways before running the hook out and back in Texas- or Texposed-rigged depending upon the amount of cover you're fishing. I have Kustom Kicker Jigs insert weights in the noses of the Bubblegum Zoom Trick Worm on the left and KVD Strike King worm on the right.

Both have floating features built into the worms as do the worms used for the regular Neko Rig, so you get that tail up off the bottom undulating like a hula girl! With the line or focal point being up the worm part way, the action is great! Plus, the Chicken Rig should skip awesome nose-weighted with the weight always being the end of your cast not at the front of the lure as in a regular Texas Rig.

Also pictured are a Shaky Head jig from Kustom Kicker on a KVD Strike King worm and a regular bullet sinker on a Texas-rigged KVD Strike King worm too.

Then there's a blade bait (homemade by a friend) on the right, a new jumbo Case Plastics O-Wacky Tool for big swim baits and stick worms. A chatterbait type jig - chartreuse. A small swimbait Texposed-rigged with a belly-weighted hook (bottom right) and left of that - a wacky-rigged stick worm inside a regular Case Plastics O-Wacky tool. I have my tricky overlapped double o-ring setup on that hook which makes the presentation last 10 times longer - less wasted time = more fishing.

Left of that is a Rolling Runner underspin with a Case Plastics small minnow body somewhat like the rig Casey Ashley recently used to win the Bassmaster Classic. People wanted to see what that fairly simple bait looked like. Hope you enjoy the info!

Also, here is the HOTTEST lure of Saturday at Outdoorama, and was pretty close to the hottest lure on Sunday too - the Kustom Kicker Jigs Reaper Rig!

I have it rigged with 5 minnow jigheads with 5 Case Plastics small minnow bodies in white hologram. People loved it!! Wanted to buy it but it's the only 1 I had, and I cut off the hooks for seminars in the hawg trough!
