If you try to register on GreatLakesBass.com - first of all - Thanks! Second, the activation email is a necessary thing to confirm we have a working email address so you get notices on things like private messages, and to keep the spammers off our website. We are looking for people who want to join a fishing community.

The activation email is automated and goes out usually immediately upon registering. Maybe a two minute delay at most the vast majority of the time. If you do not have it at the email address you used to sign up on the website with after 10 minutes, check your spam folder. It is an automated email and lots of email goes out from this website causing some email systems to think it might be spam even though do our best to tell their system we are not.

Check your spam folder first if you have one. If it doesn't show up there, then the other possibility is a typo in your email address during registration. You will need to contact GreatLakesBass.com with the same email address preferably so we can check to see if it is valid, and make sure you're a real person interested in our fishing community. You can call by phone during normal business hours and we'll get back with you as soon as possible if you are having problems with that.

We can manually approve your account as soon as we know we have working email address from a real person who wants to talk, or at least read, about fishing! We do check the reason for joining but still need to confirm a working email address.

Of course, if your reason for joining is something like: 'is good like vewy much sell u now' ...you still might not get on. ;D

Hope this helps.

Anglers I mean. (Not Vlad the Emailer.)

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
