Fished Lake Tyler last Wednesday - Saturday. Of course a get down there and a cold front and 6" of rain show up. Still went out to everyday, no consistent patterns. Fish pushed off beds seeing the water temp in the bays dropped around 9 degrees. Still found some fish in shallow but only on wind blow shorelines and on docks if there was brush underneath them... Saturday was tournament day for the bassmaster weekend series, i got a good draw, everyone esle was pretty much fishing in shallow and my boater knew were some grass was in 7' - 12' of water. The bite was much better in deeper water, and with less pressure. Ended up catching them on rattle traps and crankbaits, a couple bites on a carolina rig. Overall not a bad trip, especially seeing I ended up in tenth place on the co-angler side  :). Now i just need MI bass season to open.. I got the itch to fish.

I spent the winter down there and fished lake Tyler several times. Water was real low until a month or so ago. Only one ramp open out of 7 or 8 on the lake. Caught some nice fish on Chatterbaits, though.

One more day and everyone can start bass fishing in Michigan. Texas would be nice too. Though, maybe not in 6" of rain.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
