The poorly written, damaging to Michigan Sport Fishing commercial fishing bills have been introduced again. State House Bills 5801 and 5802, introduced by Rep. Dave Prestin and Rep. Jason Morgan, have been assigned to the House Committee on Natural Resources and Tourism.

This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

Back in town, and back to work.  Sucks.  But i am happy to be home.  I have a ton of stuff to do fro the next couple of weeks but i will post stuff as time allows.

Here is a quick poem i wrote about our trip to South Carolina.

Santee Copper, Mini Cooper, Winnie Cooper, Kevin Arnold.
Fished with Scrogs, He caught some Hawgs.
Seen some gators, ate some taters
Extasy was a plus sized dancer, chewed enough to give me cancer.
Day one i got a zero, day 2 fished with my hero
Joshimotoson was the man, ive got sun blisters on my hand
Dogs and cats in the road, no bites for me on the horny toad
Cross, South Carolina is trailer park heaven, My day one boater weighed in Five eleven
We met Pole Cat and he was funny, the grits we had werent that runny.
Now we're home and glad to be, but part of me wishes to still be on Santee.

Congrats to Josh! He is now my new hero!

PoorBoy himself :-\'

Your range of talents never cease to amaze me...

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I would have bet money that every poem you wrote would have started with....Hickory, Dickory, Dock..... ;D

I'm a bit disappointed...not a mention of Nantucket anywhere in that poem...
