The poorly written, damaging to Michigan Sport Fishing commercial fishing bills have been introduced again. State House Bills 5801 and 5802, introduced by Rep. Dave Prestin and Rep. Jason Morgan, have been assigned to the House Committee on Natural Resources and Tourism.

This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

The April Membership meeting is now in the books and the board and members of WCBA would like to thank our guest speaker non-other than the great Dan Kimmel for coming out and explaining to all of us the benifits of joining The Bass Federation.

We had a great meeting and Dan gave us lots of usefull information about what the TBF is all about.

We had one change to a lake and it has been updated in the tournament schedule the new lake is now Oakland Lake.

Topic off discussion was the upcoming Paper event on Kent Lake on April 29th. We will be launching from the West boat ramp at safe light.

Entry fee is $10 a man winner take all with $10 going to the club.
The winner will be determined by the combined length of your 5 longest bass over 14"

If you plan on fishing please call Mike Pineski and let him know. If you need his number PM me and I will give it to you .

Good fishing and Thanks again Dan for driving all the way to Taylor to deliver your message. We really apreciated it.

I too would like to thank Dan for making the journey over to Taylor to present information to the club about TBF.

Club wise I think we had 3 new members and 1 old member sign up, and 2 more thinking about it. I can't wait to get out there and start fishing. Going to be a good year. See you all on the 29th.

I appreciate the chance to visit with your club. I got the impression recently that we can expect a TBF club from you guys. I haven't checked with Dennis real recently on updates to know clubs. Hopefully, things worked out and Wayne County Bass Anglers is in. We'd love to have you anglers involved with us.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
