Road trip with Poorboy

Most of you dont know who I am so I will explain. Near the end of last season I started to read the forums on this board and somehow started internet chatting with Poorboy. I begged him to take me fishing on St. Clair and we finally were able to get a date together. After all of the who is this guy, How do you  know he dosent want to rob you, have his way with you discussions with my wife, I was finally going fishing with poorboy. (At the time she was watching a news story about cyber predators trying to meet underage girls for you all know what). We went fishing and became buddies. Now back to the story: I am buying a new boat this spring and I have to get rid of my old boat. It is being stored in the barn at my parents farm in northern indiana so yesterday morning in the midst of mother nature dumping some snow on us Poorboy decided to take a ride with me to pick it up. It is a short car ride there only 2 1/2 hours and having someone for company makes the whole ride so much better. I found that after about 1 hour into the ride I was starting to develop a small irratation in my ears. If you have never met poorboy, when you finally do you will find out that he talks just about as much as he posts. We get to the farm, unload my stuff from the boat and head out. By this time I am finding the irratation in my ears is getting worse. Kinda like when you are breaking in a new pair of boots the small blister that is developing from it rubbing in the wrong places. We are back driving now and I find my self asking him "What did you say" "Pardon Me". After we drop the boat off at wonderland marine and we are on the way home I realize that now I cant even here road noise. I see poorboys lips moving, but I cant here him. I now realize that I have developed a caluss on my ear drums. I only hope there is some kind of surgury that will help my get my hearing back. 

Seriously though, Thanks for taking the ride with me Poorboy. If my wife will let it happen you can go with me back out to wonderland and help me pick up my new boat. I just have to remember my ear plugs this time.

In my defense, I was asked to be up and at em by 6 am to get to Kevins house by 7 am.  Lets keep in mind that this is Saturday morning, which means there was recently a Friday night.  Being that I am Scotish and still in my prime, i have been known to partake in the ancient art of beer drinking.  I practice a few times a week to make sure i am at the top of my game come Friday.

That usually leaves Saturday morning a little shaky.  I found that on our trip down to Indiana that morning, i was very tired and at risk of falling asleep at any moment.  I had to keep a conversation going or I was doomed.  I did comment to my girl that i dont think i had talked that much at once in my whole life.

So, i hearby apologize to Kevin for any internal or external ear damage that i may have caused.  But it was a good time, and i cant think of any more than 998,976 things i would rather be doing on a Saturday morning.  Next time im bringing a rod and reel with me, all the lakes in Indy were wide open.
