I know what happened to him!!! He was driving home one night and got a little thirsty. Since he was driving regular beer was out of the question so he pulled into the local party store and of course bought a rootbeer. He also bought a big bite hot dog and a bag of chili cheese Frito's. When he went to the register the kindly old shop keep ask him if he needed any lottery tickets or cigarettes and since he only had one dollar left he said "Give me that instant ticket with the teddy bear on it". He went out to his truck and did a little scratching and then used his car key to scratch the ticket and to his supprise he won $20. So he is now not PoorBoy, But McCarter.

Couple reasons for the name change.

1)  My wife and I just purchased our first house.  And a week later, we both went out and got brand new cars.  You see, the name PoorBoy fit a little better when i was living in a 14' x 56' mobile home and driving a beat up 99 Chevy Tahoe.  I know what your thinking, house payment, 2 new car payments, baby on the way....i should be changing my name to 'PovertyBoy'.  But i dont want people getting the wrong idea.  For the first time in my life ( since i moved out from the comforts of PoorParents home at 19 )  I have nice stuff and a little extra cash for beer and wings.  So i thought continuing calling my self PoorBoy would be inappropriate.

2)  I have received a lot of emails and private messages asking me if i can get discounts on Poor Boys Baits.  I didnt want people to be confused and think i was the owner of this bait company.  I have had a few people ask me that as well. 

3)  A couple guys out there really like the gobies and colors that Josh and I make.  So i really dont want anyone to think i am using the Poor Boy Baits company name to market our stuff or to think that they are indeed Poor Boy Baits company gobies.

Thats it really.  I will still answer to PoorBoy, or PB, Shleprock as some of my peers like to call me.  Call me what you will, just dont call me late for dinner.

Only when refering to me and Jcheetam.  Like if you were wondering if Jeff and I were going to be fishing out on kent lake this year, you could say "hmmm, wonder if PB&J are gonna be out there"  As long as it is used properly, it shall be permitted.

Im working on it.  The wife and I have been in serious negotiations for several days.  It looks like i am finally breaking her.  She has agreed to let me buy a new boat the very day our unborn child graduates high school.  Score one for Daddy!

From what I see nowadays, isn't it more like '2007 + 28 years = 2035'

I don't want to depress anyone. I would recommend having 6 or 7 kids right away... say in the next two years, then get them all working by the time they are 12... 13 or so. Have them pay the boat payments as their 'room and board'...?!?
