I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Bass Fishing Inland Lakes & Rivers / Little Muskrat Lake, Big Large...
Last post by djkimmel - August 07, 2025, 02:57:08 PM
On July 13, 2025 I was fishing tiny Muskrat Lake flipping a 10-inch junebug Power worm when a big ole Michigan largemouth bass decided to eat it and try hard not to come into the boat!

What a short, but very fun tug of war we had! This respectable bass weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces! I got it in the boat on video and then a couple quick pictures and released still feisty back into the lake for someone else to try for it!

I didn't think about D&R, good idea!  Thanks Dan.

Glad to hear it! I hope that continues and you are in complete remission? I haven't talked to you since the Bob o get together.

Did you try asking at D and R Sports Center? I don't know if they have anyone, but they might know someone. Bob o used to do rod repairs though he is in SE Michigan.

Looking for someone in Southwest Michigan that repairs guides.  I have an old rod that I don't to throw out because I have had it for so long.  The guide about 4 down from the tip broke off.  I need a new guide and wrap.  I used to take mine to The Outdoorsman in Jenison but the gentleman who used to do it for them has retired.  Any help is appreciated.

Well, I finally made it to a bob o swap meet. Ran into lots of friends and members. Even came home with a few purchases.
