The Regional is at Barren River Ky. I know its a little early but has anybody been there or know anything about the place?  Water clarity? Is the fishing any good?

Looks like it is good in June, lots of limits. Not so much in September. It will probably be even worse in October.

A little info about fishing barren this oct.

Barren Lake fishing Report Updated October 20, 2010

Jesse Duncan is reporting much improved fishing on the lake this week. Hybrids are starting to show up and fish up to 6 to 8 pounds are being caught on that lake. Largemouth bass fishing is improving as well. In the past 2 weeks bass tournaments have been won on unusually low weights for a tournament on Barren. 9 pounds is all it was taking to take home the big money.

From a website in KY

Sounds like fun.........

Oh yeah I watched a video on you tube and this river is real muddy FYI

I've fished the lake twice, and the water was fairly clear both times.IMO,it fishes quite a bit like KY Lake,at least the northern part of KY Lake.We fished deep ledges with crankbaits, and fished a few humps with shaky heads. The lake is well known for producing good numbers of 4-6lb. bass, but that's much earlier in the year then what the regional will be.The tournament I fished there 19lbs.and change won it,but again, that was in the month of April.

Any boaters that need to link with a non-boater, pm me please. I'm interested in fishing a couple of these this year. Thanks
