Title: Questions about Sanford lake bass club
Post by: gmetime24 on January 30, 2010, 11:21:11 AM
Hey guys I am new to the web site been have been bass fishing all my life. I have recently moved closer to Sanford lake and plan on spending a great deal of time on the water as soon as the ice is gone. I was thinking about joining the club this year or next and had some questions.  I own a 19ft sea ray and was wondering if this type of boat is OK for these tournaments..do you need a live well on board?...is an I/O engine ok?  What is the cost to join the club and do you need to fish all the tournaments or can you just fish 1 or 2 of them??  Thanks

Welcome to the site. I dont know any particulars about this club, but I do know, you will need a livewell. Every tournament I've ever seen has a penalty for any dead fish. Most are very adamant about preserving the resourse. thanks again for joining the site. You'll love it here.

You'll have to check with the club, but most tournaments, no. You have to have an aerated livewell. As far as I know. Some of them, you may be able to get by with a cooler with an aerator in it.

yeah, you need a livewell, you don't have to fish out of your boat though, come as a coangler, and draw a boat to fish with one of us.

our next meeting is tuesday feb 2 at 7 pm at the sanford lake bar and grill.  we will be all the way in the back.
