Where does everyone get their weather report from before going out on the lake. Wind and waves and the predicted forcast.
When on the lake how does everyone get an update.
Check out this thread - it has information about how to get weather information and reports from buoys that could be useful. You can do it from your phone too...

You can go to www.michiganbassfishingtour.com and click on the "Current Conditions" page. It will have an updated satalite view so you can see what areas that have muddy water as well as clear as long as the cloud cover permits. You can see the current water temps around the lake. You can get a lake forecast for the wind directions and wave forecast. It also has an interactive map with depths and gps coordinates.

On the lower half of the GreatLakesBass.com home page, I have links to the various national weather marine forecasts for Lake St Clair, Lake Erie, Saginaw Bay and a link to the Lake St Clair Canadian weather buoy for wave height out in the middle of the lake. Look on the right under Resources. I'll be adding the links to a weather section and the resources section later this fall.
