I was pretty pumped about my weekend. I was out on Sturgeon Bay pre fishing for a tournament and I cracked a 6-3 on a strike grub. It was pretty sweet getting my first one over 6lbs. Then in the tournament on sunday I took 12th with a 22.38 limit. 27 and change won the tournament and big bass was 7lbs even.

Nice fish!! U fishing the Open this coming weekend? should be a toad feast.. hope my boys Tad Hepler and Dave Eggers can finally pull it off.. Go Mike Myers and Chris Hannnas also. u 2 Jackson.. good luck.. catch some Toads..

Unfortunately I didn't have the money to enter the sbobt this year, every year I have entered the spring one I've always bombed it. But it will be sweet to see the massive poundage it'll take to win it. My guess is it will take about 60lbs. for the whole deal give er take a half lb. It'll probably take 7-7.5lbs for big bass too so that will be some serious toads. Thanks for the congrats guys, my pa was out with me on my prefish and he too got a personal best at 5.5lbs so it was a pretty good weekend.

Any of you guys get over to Sturgeon Bay much?

I fished the SBOBT a few years ago. Lots of boats. Haven't been back since the BASS Northern Divisional team Michigan won... wow... that was already quite a few years ago!!
