Title: evinrude motor support bracket
Post by: duncan on April 20, 2009, 05:14:11 PM
so i just bought a boat with a 150 evinrude on it which utilized the evinrude trailering bracket instead of a transom saver.  didn't notice that one of the bolts was a little bit loose and when i trimmed it down it sheared off the bolt and snapped the bracket.

A.) does anyone know where I can find this piece at and what it is actually called?  the local evinrude dealer (South side of chicago) thinks I am crazy and doesnt think this part exists.

B.)  the boat is a gambler so i would either have to get a specially made transom saver or one of the lock-n-stow's, but i dont think they fit on OMC outboards?

any advice would be appreciated, other than to not shear off the part in the first place.

Thanks,

Duncan

I had one come loose on my DI and break off.  I had it replaced by the evinrude repair trailer at a stren event.  Call evinrude direct, or throught the website and they will hook you up.
