Title: No More Regional Tourneys?
Post by: BassinGT on February 19, 2009, 11:02:29 AM
Did the ABA go away from the regional tourney format that they used last year? They just announced the location for the 2009 Nationals with no mention of regionals and it looks like they went back to a top 500 instead of breaking it down regionally.

I am excited to confirm that there no longer is a regional format.

I loved the old format and was not thrilled by the new format they had introduced 2 years ago. I just did not like the regional idea. I am very excited to be back to the old format with one change in how they do the angler of year. I love this new old format they have and I am very excited to be going to Pickwick Lake September 26th through October 3rd.

Thanks Anthony! That is indeed good news. I like the idea of only taking ONE week off of work for Nationals instead of TWO weeks to do Regionals and Nationals.
