Title: Hey Dude.... reel seat?
Post by: Waterfoul on January 03, 2009, 08:15:01 PM
Justin... did we talk about the reel seat for my rod?  I'm not sure what seat is on the Cumara (I could go look but I'm just too lazy!) but I really like it.  Can you get that seat?  How about some cool looking cork to go with it??

That Cumara seat is like this.  I can't say if Pac Bay is making this for Shimano.

Spinning: http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/reel-seat-graphite/280443.aspx

i'm planning on using those types mike. i'm waiting to hear back from a few distributors to see if they have them so i don't have to place 5 different orders to different places. Plus blanks aren't in yet for me to measure/size for the grips. I typically put as little cork as possible on spinning rods... don't need it, saves weight.

OK guys... this is THE higher power speaking... please keep your bickering confined to PM's.  Thank you.  ;D

Justin... I do want that 1-1.5" section of cork in front of the reel seat like the Cumara has.  I find that to be very comfortable.  Basically the dimensions of the Cumara foam is what I'm looking for... more or less.  Cool??

Kinda hard to tell from the picture.

Why don't I bring my cumara up to your place one night after work this week?  Then I can check out the one you built and compare it to the one I have.

Well, I work every Friday from 9:30 to 6:30... and I'm sure you don't want to hang around the office till I get there at 7:00 pm.  Driving to Rockford is no problem for me.
