Title: Trouble with trailer tires.
Post by: fish2wn on November 11, 2008, 03:42:38 PM
My trailer tires keep wearing out prematurely. Does anyone know what the cause of this could be?

If they are wearing unevenly could be a bent axle..Or the axles could be misaligned with the trailer...Does the trailer pull OK??? Are the wheels in good shape? Single or Double axle??
Are both sides of the trailer wearing out???

The trailer is a single axle and pulls fine. Yes the wear is on both sides. And the wheels are fine too.

If the wear is on the inside and outside edge of the tires, it sounds like low inflation.  50 PSI in trailer tires.

If one side is wearing, you have a trailer issue.
