Title: Long Lake
Post by: chrisvmo on November 06, 2008, 12:24:35 PM
This is by far my favorite lake to fish in the state. We go for a week the first week of June every year. Catch big smallies all day and all the wallies for dinner all night. any one else fish here?

I have fished Long. It's a hop, skip, and a jump north of Duck and Green. I would like to fish it for walleye eaters more. I don't know it very well, but have caught some nice smallies there before. I hate that ramp that you have to back across the road though. It's not set up very well for tournaments.

I think there is a ramp on the north side too. Its a blast for walley at night either troll with crawler harness or sit on a point in 12 feet of water with a leech under a bober. you should have your limit pretty fast.

Long lake is about 10 minutes from my house. About 1/2 mile down the road is a launch at the end of Cresent rd. The parking is on the side of the road but a lot of people use the launch.

I'm going out Friday after work to try to get some Walleye. As long as the weather isn't to bad. I just need to get out of the house.
