Title: Winterizing
Post by: Buckeye on November 02, 2008, 08:21:15 PM
Well, I ma or may not completely store the boat this year.  Unfortunately, it won't fit in my garage opening, so it will be somewhere close by.  I found a place that required a $1 a foot per month with electric plus a deposit of one month.  I thought that sounded good, $20 for a month.

What do you guys put in the boat to keep critters out?  I've heard moth balls and dryer sheets.  Anything else you can think of?

Thanks, Eric

I used mothballs and dryer sheets last year it seemed to work...I put the moth balls in the bilge area and the dryer sheets in the deck lockers....That way I don't have to smell moth
balls every time I get a rod out..

I have my boat stored in a garage up north that regularly has mice in it. It's in the woods. I have used dryer sheets for several years and that seems to work. I have also found if you are goingto set any type of traps out that the glue boards work the best.
