Hey Eric,
I know a couple of high schoolers in the Lansing area that are budding bassaholics. Do you know of any TBF youth organizations in that area. I would also bet that these guys may even start one of their own with a little coaching.
Dan Yes there is I'm the President of the TBF of MI Jr. Jawbreakers Bass Club. E-mail me with all there info Name and Phone Number and I will contact them.
How old or what are the ages for the juniors?
Dan
There are two age groups 11-14 and 15-18. Any more info E-mail me at Ranger_Boats_Team_North@yahoo.com
Right now, we have 2 TBF Jr clubs in Michigan - the Jr Jawbreakers are a statewide club open to anyone until we get more local clubs. Dakota Sports (Dennis Beltz' club based near Lake St. Clair) is the host club, but it is for the benefit of the entire TBF of Michigan federation. If these young men are interested, that would probably be there best bet at this time since my club 'in Lansing' is also a statewide holding club really, not a localized active club that holds meetings and such.
Oakland Co Bass Anglers Jrs are a local junior club of the Oakland County Bass Anglers near Pontiac. They are a longstanding and very active club.
We are looking for people to start and maintain a club on the west side too. It can be as simple or complex as people want to make it. We did just pick up a new west side club - Tulip City Bass, but they have no youth club at this time.
Great Eric good to see that other clubs see that our future of our sports depends on our youths. Lets keep building our future.
