Post by: Rangerman on May 11, 2019, 07:30:44 PM
We heading to LSC for our annual trip and with lake conditions on LSC and the wind forecast from the east most or our trip looking for some other small lakes in the area that will be good to fish to save the week.  Know nothing about the area just asking for the names of some local lakes in area for a plan B. Thanks.  Hope weather will improve and lake drop and clear, But??? 8) Wish Cotton was a Monkey and I had a watermellow

Union Lake or Cass Lake are both good smallmouth lakes.   Cruise the shallows looking for beds.  Both will have fish on beds now.  Lake Orion is a good lake.  White Lake off M-59 and Duck Lake road is a good lake with a nice pub at the north end for lunch after fishing.

Have fun.

Lots of lakes in the Oakland County area that are decent to good. Different kinds. Different sizes.

You can also drive over to the Algonac North Channel DNR ramp and use that to get to the various bays on the St. Clair River side if the lake is bad. If it keeps raining you'll want to use roads north of the usual M-29/Anchor Bay Drive as that is right along the shoreline and may have water on it.
