Title: 2009 Stren Central Division
Post by: dashaver63 on August 20, 2008, 05:41:52 PM
The 2009 Stren Central Division will be at Elizabeth Park July 23-25. I just saw that while reading the changes for the different bass tours for next year. I will be fishing it next year.

Me too!!!...I wish I still had a Ranger...Can you link with Stren???..I have heard it both ways..

I just went and looked at the central schedule....That would be a fun series to fish..except Ft Madison...I wish I had a little more time off from work..

This is the statement from the Stren Rules about linking..
After the balance deadline for each event, anglers on the waiting list within the 200 boat field will have the opportunity to provide a counterpart and be confirmed at that time.
I don't think you can link unless you are on the waiting list after the balance deadline...Then you can hook up with someone and link and get into the event...At least that is the way I read it...Correct me if I am wrong....
Who is looking for a Co just in case?

I think this is the division I may try to fish as a boater.  The Northern division is way too far to the East to consider viable.  I've heard bad things about Fort Madison, like boats being ripped in half though.  We'll see if I even have the funds to give it a go next year.

My experience at Fort Madison last October was a good one. There are fish close to the launch, but even running the river on the first day last year, I didn't see much if any debris in the river. I would go back if I had the funds and time off work. The frog bite was terrific and that was the winning pattern.
