Our own motocross269 collaborated with TBF of Michigan Jr member Cody Harris to talk about Cody's excellent 2007 season with his Jr state championship and northern division win in the 2007 TBF Jr World Championship!!
Check it out here (http://www.greatlakesbass.com/articles/charris07.html) (it will be on the michigantbf.com site shortly too). All photos are by proud papa Jeff Harris (5alive).
Nice article, very well written. Thanks, Cody is trying very hard to make this his profession (fishing industry or fisherman). He is saving his funds to fish as much as possible and trying his best to align himself with a career path that will let him have both, fishing and income! Currently has a 4.0 GPA and has had a couple of college invites, with Purdue high on his list because of their bass fishing team. Thanks again.
That's good to hear. This article was of course a close collaboration between Cody and Brian. I know you are very proud.
You know, writers also can do fairly well in the fishing industry. I would love to have youth articles BY YOUTH to publish. They don't have to be long or complicated (hint hint to any 'youth' out there reading).
The Article that Cody sent me was excellent...I just basically doctored it up some because he was very modest about some of his accomplishments. It seemed at the time I was writing this our schedules were conflicting so we basically had to do everything over email .He is a great role model for these kids coming up and I am sure we will see him on the big stage (Wait a minute he has already been there)..
One other note Cody had a high finish at the Burt and Mullet BFL as a Co-Angler...If I remember right it was in the top 3..So he has already taken the next step in his career..
Yes he did - 18+ !! (pounds, that is)
Hey Dan got the hint, I will be passing it on to Cody. Thanks.
He does have a couple of good stories, he did captain a team in a recent NBAA event on St. Clair and cashed a check!
Pretty impressive!! Congratulations!
