is the ice off yet?
Only lakes I know that were open were duck, most of clam and skegemog. Everything else is locked up tight.
SOLID!!!
I'ts unreal. Hoping next weekend maybe.....
That's why we are seeing so many loons all over Southern Michigan even on lakes we don't usually see them - they're waiting for the lakes to thaw just as much as we are!! Good luck up there!
I was up at Houghton this last weekend - it's open. My small nearby lake was about 60% open and with today and tomorrow highs, it should be all open water. Won't be long now for those north of Houghton.
That's good to know. I didn't realize you had your own lake - is it a good fishing lake?
I guess we won't be seeing as many loons soon as they check this forum often to see if they should continue flying north to their final destinations.
Cadillac and Mitchell have been wide open for a few weeks.....I was up there Tuesday and Wednesday and drove by the State park launch...Has me chomping at the bit to get going..
Finally !. Lakes are open or opening up in the TC area! Elk/touch/skeg/clam are all open. Torch as a few bergs floating around on it .
Boy!! A picture of you standing on an iceberg in Torch Lake would be awesome!!
