Anyone have any idea why the north side of the big island is off limits to boats?
I believe it is because of a bald eagle's nest. I was out there before they shut it down. I didn't even notice the nest until the eagle took off.... just heard the wings flap and a few sticks breaking, beautiful to see take off. In the nest were two little heads poking out from the top of the nest. A few days later and the area was blocked off.
Fished out there today. The bouy's are at the Eagle nest. We started the day with one of them spying on us. Later in the afternoon we were back in the bay with the bouy's. One of the eagles flew across the bay and landed in the nest. Fantastic site to see.
They probably got your spot! They can see really good!
