out of the 4 you're looking at i think the Kistler and Airrus outshine them all, you get the same if not better quality out of these than the Loomis but better prices....i belive the st. croix are good my buddy has 2, i have never owned one though.  remember the Kistler have a full lne of technique specific rods..check them out  www.kistlerrods.com

Went to Cabela's,they did not have the Kistler rods and discontinued Airrus rods,so I went with the GLoomis Bronzeback 6'9" fast action and a stradic reel

Hey good choice on the loomis. I use a Quantum pti 30 with a Quantum tour Edition 7" Rod. I have a 6'6" Gloomis with a Shimano Symtre on it and I love that set up so I think you will be happy with the Stradic and Loomis set up. And do love that Stradic thinking about getting one for this season.

Cabelas never actually had any of the Airrus rods at the Dundee Store.  They were only available through internet orders.

All the rods you mentioned are good rods.  The thing i like about the Airrus rods tho is the price point.  I used to use St Croix rods exclusivly, but found that the Airrus rods offered the same quality for about $60 cheaper in the Co Matrix.  And they have a better warranty.

You will like your Loomis no doubt.  I know a few guys who swear by them.  They are good sticks.

If you are still interested in looking at some of the Airrus rods, let me know.  I will bring some out for you to use this sping.  Or, if you are in the area, KD Outdoors in Waterford has a few left.

Imposition??? asking me to meet up with you and show you some Airrus rods is like asking an adult movie star if she wouldnt mind taking her clothes off.  Its what i do.  Its what i live for. Plus, we might be able to catch some fish on top of it. ;D
