Family members may be able to fish together. Please contact me directly by PM (http://www.greatlakesbass.com/forum/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=1), phone 810-433-BASS (2277) or email (http://glbass.com/contact) to arrange this. I would prefer family members 18 and older be a registered member of GreatLakesBass.com. I will not request that of family members under 18 and prefer not to have family members under 13 register due to federal regulations. If you have a family member that wants to fish but not be a member, please just contact me privately prior to the event. Youth 17 years or younger must be participating with a parent or legal guardian. Exceptions to this will need to be discussed with me in advance. Use the contact information above.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Nonboaters please bring life jackets to make sure we have enough. Life jackets must be worn zipped and/or buckled whenever the gas motor is running. Boater must use working kill switch when gas motor is running.
No live bait, artificials only. A Golden Rule courtesy board will be available at the weigh in. You can use your own weigh in bag. This is an event where we want to see everyone catch some fish!
This event is all about everyone catching some fish, having fun and getting to know each other, and also to honor the memory one of our greatest members - David 'MadWags' Wagensomer!!! Thank you for being members of GreatLakesBass.com.
If you have anything new or like new you'd like to donate for prize giveaways, please contact (http://glbass.com/contact) me.
Post that you are attending, and if attending as a boater or nonboater in this thread please. It is easier for me to keep track if your status is in this thread. If you call, PM me, email, Facebook, etc., some other means about your status as a boater or non-boater it may get lost in the shuffle. Thanks!
I'll be there with MA with no exceptions or backing out this time.
Okay. You're the first person signed up. You should win a prize! But I gave away all of my prizes the other day!
I'll be up that way for the annual The Eyes Have It fall Hawg Hunt on the 9th at Duck/Green Lakes in Interlochen. Maybe I can talk the other guys (we bring 3 boats to the tournament) into signing up and fishing it. No promises.
Looks like I should be able to make it. Put me down as a boater.
That's the spirit!
Updated the boat ramp to Kenwood Park off North Boulevard West of Cadillac, Michigan. Bigger ramp. It's free. Close to the canal to Lake Mitchell.
I haven't seen her post anything yet, but I know that Spinninbug Wendy and her husband Terry are very interested in fishing.
Well get them to post if you talk to them so I know a few people are interested. I don't want to have it if hardly anyone shows up.
I'd like to try again if you get any boats.
We shall see if we get enough people signed up. Like to get 10 people or more to make it worth going up there.
Boater.Need to bring this back to the top. I'm in IF we get enough boats. If not I will go to skeg for the weekend.
Same weekend as the CFB Tournament of Champions. Have fun all.
Still going regardless. I'm peeed at them 2 lakes for not coughing up some good fish to me at the WMBHOTD event this year. I want redemption!
I hope you get it!
Not seeing a lot of interest in this.
I'd like to see a little more interest myself to make it all worthwhile for all of us!?!
I am off for 5 days that weekend so I am going somewhere and doing something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I can count you in for sure then. Now if we can just get a few more to pull the trigger. I've heard rumors about a couple three more wanting to fish but I don't count them unless they come on the thread and post their intentions!
I know how to get them up here Dan. Since I'm one of the biggest braggart aroundand always giving people greif. Ill offer to do something ( within reason but defiantly silly ,for the winner if they can beat me) Hows that??
That could get crazy Matt! You might end up owing the whole group lol
Got your intentions down. Now I need a few more people to post they are coming too!?!
I spoke with Tackle That Sunday at the CC Invitational. He is going to be there with his boss. I told him I owed him a spankin on his home lake considering he beat me on my home lake !
Still not seeing a lot of interest here!!! Might end up going deer hunting for those 5 days instead.
Oh your going fishing with us Bill. LOL
Less than 10 people possibly coming and only 5 have posted that they're coming so far. Not enough to put on an event. I'd like 15 to 20. Going to give it until this weekend and cancel if no more interest. Hope everyone understands that I don't mind putting on events but want 15-20 people there to make it interesting and fun.
Regardless we are going Dan. This will be the first time in 50 years that ma has been to those lakes. I think they are all just scared to fish against us lol
If my budget was in better shape right now I might just hold it anyways for less than 10 people. I've never been to either lake. Maybe next year if another 3 or 4 boats don't sign up. I never heard from spinninbug for sure either. I don't like to count people if they haven't posted on here that they are going...
Got 6 bucks and a big flock of turkey running the property so I think I will be bow hunting instead. Looks like your off the hook Matt for doing something dumb!!!!!! :D :D :D
Probably a better use of your time for now considering less than 10 people wanting to fish. Could someone let Tackle This! know I'm canceling? He never posted on here but I assume since it was in his backyard he and his wife would fish. I will probably pick a weekend next year and schedule it on the same water and see if we can drum up some more people on a different weekend next year in advance though I thought I gave plenty of advance notice this year.
You gave plenty of notice Dan.
I'm still convinced they are all scared to fish against me where I live LOL
I have no number for him. I can see if Luzac has it from the CC invitational and have him call or something, but I cant guarentee that that idea will work
Would it be possible next year to try something Mid state so us east siders could make it a day trip. I know others drive a long way for St Clair in the spring. Even Ovid or something close to your house. Just a thought.
Guess it didn't matter where it was this year. There is a CFB Tournament that day I have to attend.
I probably can't schedule around all bass tournaments unless I go even later and then I'm already risking bad weather and people not wanting to go because of weather risk or hunting seasons. I could go more central but then it really wouldn't be a west side event either though Cadillac and Mitchel are more central than some lakes, just a ways North.
Frankly, not sure I can schedule something in the fall on the west side that will make enough people happy to come fish it. There are so many things against it?? I used to get 15 or 20 people though in the old days. Maybe people are just too busy now.
Bummed! Will be at Regional Kentucky Lake, otherwise would be there.
See what I mean. Just too many things to schedule around in the fall I think. If I could get bass season to open the last Saturday in April like it should that would probably kill the spring event too.
I have a Skeeter minus prop and prop shaft, so I'd be out anyways.

story???
Rocks on Elk Lake I believe I heard near the boat ramp, during the West Michigan Bass Classic. ouchy
Yup, know that area!
Sorry you are canceling the Cadillac-Mitchell tournament, maybe next fall it will work out.
Yes, I'll try again for the same lakes probably around the same time. Seems like a bad idea by I'd like to fish there (never have) and it always finishes high in polls. Just a matter of getting enough people to say, yes, I'll make it. Maybe a Sunday is better?
