Dear valued customers and business partners,
Sportsmen's Direct is pleased to announce that we will be opening a new location. Many of you are probably already familiar with the property, as it was the Boater's World building that has been vacant for many years. It is located just north of the Metro Parkway (16 Mile)/Jefferson intersection. This intersection also has a gas station with marine fuel(ethonal free), a party store, oil change and a car wash. It is also much less congested with traffic than our current location, which has always been a major concerned of ours regarding all of your safety.
The new property will provide us with much needed room to expand our product selection and plenty of parking space for BOATS AND TRAILERS! We will once again have room to conduct regular seminars inside and have plenty of room outside to also host special events. Most importantly, we hope it will provide long term job security for our employees and their families.
This is a big undertaking, with many things to get done and limited resources. So, we do not have a hard date set for the actual opening. We will likely operate both locations for an unspecified time. We are shooting for a "soft opening" with live bait and seasonal retail product sales in mid to late September. We will keep you posted as we go forward.
We greatly appreciate your continued support, patience and prayers during this process.
Tight Lines,
Sportsmen's Direct Inc
Stay Tune for updates on our progress
Congratulations on your expansion. Your current location has always been very good however it was always hard to stop in when pulling the boat. In the years you've been there I had only been in your store one time. I look forward to now becoming more of a regular customer now that you will have the room to accommodate more of us that only get to that side of town when fishing LSC. Again congratulations and I look forward to stopping in more often.
BD ;D
How is the new store setup and opening going lately? I haven't been by that way since the end of August.
I was out at the new Sportsman's Direct last night for the info meeting they had about invasive species. The store looked like it was about 80% setup. I think it's gonna be a good store with a strong inventory. They had mostly everything I was looking for. They have plenty of room for more stock, so I'm looking forward to seeing it develop. The girls who worked the counter were very nice and helpful. I recommend checking them out.
I'm sure you mean to check out the store and not the girls right?
;)
LOL I'll leave that one ambiguous.
Sorry I haven't been over on here lately been very busy and with that we have been making some changes. For one I am no longer the store manager. I have moved over to Buyer/Product Specialist. Which was a major part of my old position but with the larger store demanded more of my time then in the past. So I spend way more time in my office then on the floor now. So just knock on my door and say hello if your by.
I have been working my tail off on getting things in when money allows me to. We had a sucky winter so things are happen a little slower. Some new bass products we have added.
Expanding our selection of Stank X
Expanding our selection of Angler's Choice (custom colors!!!)
More dropshot baits
Some more Largemouth tackle from Mizmo, Strike King, Reaction, Berkley, Zoom, and I am sure I am missing couple.
Crank bait section will be growing even larger and Don't worry we are still your number one stop for Spybaits :D
Expanding the rod and reel selection in the store even more
More Lew's Reels, More Shimano, and will be adding in some other select models from other brands
More G-Loomis Rods, St. Croix, Shimano, Lew's, 13 Fishing , No8 Tackle, and few others to come like Dobyns rods.
We have added more marine products, which has already saved the day of a few guys. Spare trolling motor props, transom savers etc etc.
So thats enough for a late night ramble I have to get to bed have to be at the shop and open at 5:30 in the morning.
Almost forgot make sure you watch my youtube and mikes youtube for fishing reports and videos from our days out on the water fishing here are the latest two from us.

I must have missed your original post last August about the store thinking it was recent. Sent a couple buddies to the old and found it closed. Ooops. LOL Well, they did head to your new store. I'll have to come by and check it out this week.
Justin, what's the address of the new store, thanks.
He posted the address somewhere on here but it is the old Boaters World building next door to the big gas station on the corner of Metro Parkway and Jefferson Ave, on Jefferson towards Harley Ensign (North).
Just looked on my phone mapping. Gotchya, know right where it is, thanks.
