Trying to get pumped up for the 14 hour ride to fish LSC in early June during catch and release ;D
Avoid Anchor Bay right now >:(
Sounds like when you were in Anchor Bay they were killing them at the mile roads until the wind came up. Thats always how it goes.
I seem to catch more fish with teeth in anchor bay ;D Hope to hit the timing right this June. Love the swim bait and fluke bite. Was it a cold winter and what the water temp running now. We came up twice last spring and missed the good bite both times. Had a good fall trip for big fish but not the numbers.
It was cold but spring in springing now though the nights have been chilly lately. I doubt we will have east winds and muddy water all the way into June. Hopefully the bite is on May 9th for the annual MadWags Memorial tournament.
Me and two of my buddies went out yesterday. We fished the mile roads the water temps were between 45-47. We got 8 that were over 4lbs and few smaller ones. We got them on drop shot and lipless cranks
What was the clarity in what areas?
Clarity was pretty random. The closer you got to 9 mile it seemed a little better and the further off shore it was better about 3-5 ft. We actually had the best action of the day in clarity under 2ft with water temps 47 just south of the 400 club
Thanks guys, ding dong your water is still cold :D Looking forward to coming up during the catch and release season again this year. Y'all got a great fishery hope you can protect it.
