Is the lift assist cylinder for the Fortrex rechargeable, or does it just have to be replaced? Mine is 4 years old, and does not work right anymore. It's $30 for a new cylinder. I'm just wondering if it can be recharged.
I looked at mine and see no way it could. Call Minn Kota they have a great service crew.
I ordered a new one. $37 delivered from fish307.com.

I noticed that mine went this year too. Mine is a 2012. Guess they don't last to long. Let me know if they are easy to install.

Doh!!! I have whole lift mechanism in the garage. You could have had it for the cost of taking the thing apart. I could have brought it out there... we could have gone fishing. OH well, next time.
Will do, Jay. Sorry Mike. I should have known to call you.
