Title: White Lake open tournament?
Post by: jgip087 on March 02, 2015, 07:07:03 AM
Does anyone know of any open tournaments on White Lake, Whitehall,  this summer other than Shoreline? Haven't been there in a few years and I'd like to fish it once this summer.

West Michigan Bass has a lakeshore division.  Check it out here:

There is a membership fee to join (we have 5 divisions all over West Michigan).  Probably the largest local club around the state.  Very well run and managed, good payback at the ramp.

I believe there is still an ROI Thursday night club that hits it too.  Shoot a message to Mike Szot on this site.  His screen name is MikeS I beleive.

ROI has the Thursday Nite Bite series on Muskegon and White as well. We rotate between the two lakes weekly. There will be 5 nights on White. There is also a $15 membership fee.

We will be having an open tournament on Memorial Day, from Fisherman's Landing. That tournament will be open to run. You could fish White that day. I'm running it, so if you're interested let me know.

Open to run eh?  Can I borrow your boat?  I want to go fish Portage.   ;)

Sorry man. That will be the first tournament with the new boat. There's a big lake ride on my mind. But we'd sure like to see you there.

Great to hear there's going to be an open on Memorial Day again.  Fished when Gary held it a couple of years ago and had a great time.  Please let us know the details.  Thanks Mike.

Can't make it.  I have family traditional plans most Memorial Days.

I will make an official post on here as soon as the details are up on the ROI website. Should be very soon.
