Hi Guys,
I'm thinking about trying my hand at rod building. Has anyone tried the MHX blanks and can give experienced advice. Currently I use the IMX and GLX MBR rods from G-Loomis and would like to find a blank along those qualities. Any recommendations as far as model#s and were to buy. I've seen the MHX's online but never in person, don't won't to buy and be disappointed. Thanks for any advice. ~ Len

Yes the MHX blanks are very good. I have built a couple rods on them I've been really happy with them and so have the guys I built them for. I don't think you will be disappointed.

American tackle handles Bushido blanks which to me are very sensitive T-Allen uses the same blanks in there rod line very sensitive and light
If you get the standard modulus MHx and are hoping for imx or glx, you will be disappointed. The high modulus may be closer. Personally don't use them any more cuz they are Chinese. For premium blanks, you'll want to focus on north fork composites, pheonix, st croix, or hydra blanks.
