Title: Half way through the live weigh in Bassmasters in Escanaba
Post by: djkimmel on September 22, 2014, 04:52:52 PM
No moonlight! After the first ever 3 consecutive days of wind closures for safety, the Bassmasters are finally back at and they're smacking down some big bags of Pure Michigan Escanaba Bays de Noc smallmouth bass!

Halfway through the live weigh of the final day two today and it is going to be close! Skeet Reese? Brian Snowden? Mark Davis? Or... did Jacob Powroznik put it away!?!

Twelve Bassmaster Elite Anglers over 20 pounds so far today! Two over 24! And they aren't leading! Jacob Powroznik has a two-day total of 10 bass weighing 47-6 for the lead. The only angler who could probably catch him is Ott Defoe, and he needs 27-2 today to beat him! Doable? Maybe...

Okay - looks like Ott had no fish. I wasn't following the live blog due to work and bass season stuff today so Powroznik wins with a huge 10 bass 47-6 winning weight! Greg Hackney holds on to the 2014 Bassmaster Angler of the Year title!

Found out Ott Defoe had to leave Saturday for a TV or some other shoot.

Yeah. I got part of the story. Enough to know he never fished on Monday. I wondered how many would have to leave.
