Chad is coming up to the stage right now as the 2nd to last guy to weigh in and his co-angler just weighed 13-9 for 3 bass!! I hope that is a good sign of the kind of bass Chad was on today!?!
Less than 20 pounds to take the lead with only Joe Balog left to weigh in!!
C'mon Chad! Purple Mohawk time?!? ;D
"Don't go fallin' in the livewell Chad!" Bassmaster tournament director.
23 POUNDS 6 OUNCES!!!! He's going for it!!!! 67-4 TO TAKE THE LEAD!!
Great job Chad! That's doing about EVERYTHING you can do to make it happen! The boat races tried to make it even more exciting!!
I think Joe Balog has to have 19-11 to beat Chad?!? I might be as nervous as Chad right now??
Jay Ahonen, another GreatLakesBass.com member, has another good Bassmaster tournament with an 11th place finish and big bass of the tournament with a giant 6-10 smallmouth bass!
Now comes the real suspense with Joe Balog coming up to talk first before we find out what he has...??
IF Chad wins, he gets his FIRST Bassmaster Classic berth with a 2015 invitation...??
Joe Balog just finished telling everyone he actually fished Lake St. Clair NOT Lake Erie catching that monster 25-2 limit from close to the launch ramp. Joe says not getting back on the water until noon due to motor problems has kept him from beating Chad.
HE ONLY HAS 3 BASS!!!! CHAD PIPKENS WINS!!! MAKES THE 2015 BASSMASTER CLASSIC!!! YEAH BABY!!!
Ahhh... I figured something must have happened to Balog's boat. You don't drop off that much in one day. Bad luck for him but good news for Chad.
It has to be pretty disappointing for Joe Balog I'm sure but Chad says Joe made a very nice comment to him something along the lines of how a lot of good things were going to be happening to him in a few minutes. Seemed like Joe was taking it in stride real well.
