We were on the St. Joe River Sunday fishing in front of the Coast Guard station and saw them leave in a hurry, come back some time later performing CPR on someone.  Heard something about not breathing, etc...  Thought maybe it was a drill, but...

Our prayers for the family.
No fishing trip is worth losing your life, or worse yet the life of a friend or family member.
One habit I picked up from the military.  Take a minute before every event and run through a risk assessment and think about what you can do to make for a safer trip.  I know it sounds tedious and corny, but It saves countless lives every day.
