I found this on one of the local forums here. It happened this past weekend at a lake about 2 hours from where I live now.

I've heard of DQs for cheating, but never an arrest. Wow.
Happened on Kentucky Barkley a couple of times in some high dollar tournaments. Anglers were arrested for and charged with some serious fraud charges. I think I've read of 2 cases last season. Each time the DNR tagged the fish in their baskets and the felons weighed them in with the tags on them. There arent many smart criminals out there.
It's very sad. It doesnt get much lower.

Fry them all!
what a piece of .... I hope he does go to prison for the 2 to 7 years!
Wasn't it in the late 80s that they caught some guys cheatin in a bass tournament and a few weeks later they were found dead floatin in a canal??
Some pretty hardcore vigilante bassers down south.
Generally when they "tag" the fish, they will clip the dorsal fins to identify the fish. The two that were at caught at Kentucky Lake won a boat in a circuit classic earlier in the year (we fished that tournament). The guy that was caught recently was an angler known for doing well in the tournaments over the past few years. Go figure.
i'm a firm believer in an "eye for an eye"..... so i say they should get locked in a cage and sunk in some backwater overnight to think about what they did. :) ;D
He cheated and finished in second place. ???
I bet the guy that won it legit felt like a stud.

Unless of course he was just lucky and didnt get caught. :o
But ya if you won legit over a guy who cheated, that has to be a great feeling. ;)
