The angler isn't that bad-looking of a guy either... ;D

For those who didn't see this on LSCN, here's Windsor, Ontario bass tournament angler Jon Bondy holding a GIANT paddlefish caught the other day by a local when he was fishing Grand Lake in Oklahoma.

"This is a strange and rare fish that eats only plankton. WHAT A GIANT!!!!!!!!! I'm guessing 60-70 lbs," says Bondy? A primitive fish related to sharks, the paddlefish strains the water for plankton. It is caught by snagging.

Fairly well protected everywhere now - you an see the fish tag in its lower jaw that they require in Oklahoma when you catch one of the old-timers.

Jon says he's now arrived at Lake Amistad in Texas getting ready for a BASS tournament. He reports that a tournament was won there the previous week with 5 bass over 40 pounds!!! HOLY SMOKES!! Get 'em Jon.
