Title: Saving Senkos
Post by: blakstr1 on January 27, 2006, 07:07:37 AM
Well I can't take credit for this tip but I liked it and decided to share it with ya'll.? I talked to the guy that started this and he said it really works good, in the summer the tubing shrinks a little too in the boat compartments because of the heat..makes it a really snug fit to the Senko.?

Fishing Senkos and regular plastic worms "wacky style" normally rips up the bait quickly. I have tried to find many different methods to try to keep the baits from falling apart. What I found to work the best is a piece of clear vinyl tubing. All you need it 5/16 and or 7/16 tubing. Cut a 1/8 in piece of the tubing off. Slide it over the worm for reinforcement. and put the hook through the worm and the tubing.

Tried them but I guess I need to "custom" fit my size a bit more...always getting too big or too small of "O" Rings.  Maybe I should keep a senko in my pocket to compare.. :D

I know most people have had good success with the O rings...this is just another option..
