Title: kent lake water temps, unbelievable
Post by: nitroderrek on March 28, 2007, 06:40:22 PM
i was on kent lake today trying to catch some in-season species... and the water temp was as high as 56 degrees...  the coldest water i found was only 47 degrees...  and i heard there was ice still on the lake on monday... i was expecting 43 degree water, and was shocked to find 56 degree water...  the fish seemed to like the warmer water too.. derrek

i can believe it.  it was 81 degrees and raining about 3 miles north of kent when i left work tuesday .  with the low water it will warm up fast.  the bass will be bedding early if this keeps up.

oh ya, water was about 3 feet low, making launching a boat at the east ramp difficult, i used the far dock, and it was tricky, but i got in... derrek

Hard to believe that anything in the state is low, we have standing water all over the place in my neck of the woods.  Must be they have the dam set to keep the water low?
