Including the playoff season. Will the Lions win 12 games or more This season? I say yes, GO LIONS!
12 wins would mean a first round bye and possibly home field advantage through the playoffs!! Could this really happen to our Detroit Lions??!?!? Their schedule sure looks easy
GO LIONS!!
You guys jinxed it.
Haha you can't jinx the lions, the let downs they provide are one of a kind, only time will tell
The schedule doesn't look as hard now, then it did before the year started. The Eagles and possibly the Steelers this week look like the 2 toughest games on the list. They're ALL tough really.....
Looks like you were right Ypsi, this teams sucks again. They might get lucky and go to tr playoffs but only because the NFC north is bad. I guess our lives can be normal again with the same ol lions back

You got that right. Not sure what I watched Sunday? Have been a die hard Lions fan for 40 years. This year I have scratched my head so hard, it left a bald spot.
Thursday should be no exception. Guess I will scratch the other side to even things out ;D
Dave
Come on guys, you know the only reason we pick on the lions. Is because we are fans. If the only way we can get to the playoffs is by elimination, than I say OK! The playoffs, is a new season all together. Let"s at least get there first. Maybe the lions will show up!
Matt Flynn is going to put up some more record numbers on them again...lol GO PACKERS!!!

I think they got game. But they don't know how to win because they haven't been a consistently winning team in how many years??? LOL LOL :o LOL LOL You're dreamin'!!!!

MAYBE, Dave!!! They are better than they have been in a long time. I'll grant you that. But they don't know how to win. I've always said that good teams in the NFL know how to win. The Lions again have lost games they should have won like Tampa Bay, Pittsburg. Arizona, and Cincinnati. They were in each of those games and not only could have won, but should have won. The Lions winning those games would have been 9 and 1. Okay maybe 8 and 2. The game last Sunday is a lose on bad luck. But like I said good teams know how to win in the NFL.
BD ;D
So they win today 40 to 10. If they win their last 4 and I don't think they will win but one, and that will be the Vikings, the best they can be is 11 and 5. But I don't think they are going to beat the Eagles, the Ravens, or the Giants. It's a tough schedule for them the rest of the way. They started out shaky today but came together. Of course I would hope that they beat the Packers without Rogers. They have some tough teams down the stretch. I'm not so optimistic.....as usual. The turkey did taste extra good today. They had game today!!
BD. ;D
quite an afternoon. Sitting in the garage sorting fishing tackle for the hot ponds tomorrow watching the Lions dominate. Even dug out my ski cloths to keep warm. Hope they can keep it up. Schwartz even looked happy during the press conference.
I'm still on the wagon. I'm riding this one until the wheels fall off! Turn overs are not the lions best Friend, nor are penalties. Come on guys, GO LIONS!
That was TOTAL domination yesterday. When Bush fumbled the ball on the first drive, you can't help but think- here we go again, another t-day loss, going home bummed. Not yesterday. I can't remember a game that i could relax the last quarter of a game, knowing the Lions would win. That was fun. Yes BD, their record should have a couple more wins, but that's the nfl for you. No game is easy no matter who you play. Would the outcome be different with Rodgers playing? I think the Pack might have scored a few more points, but certainly not enough to win yesterday. You know the Lions have given up less than 20 first downs- for the last 2 games combined? That's nuts, man. As usual, the Lions are their own worst enemy. Ogletree's td catch was right in front of me- I tried to get him to toss me the ball, but he wanted that one. What a catch. As for the rest of the season, Philly scares me the most. The last 2 home games Monday night against the Ravens, and a 4:30 start against the Giants I think the Lions should win. And let's just throw in a win against the Vikes to end the regular season. My playoff tickets invoice will be in my mailbox by Monday. 2 playoff games- first round and a possibile CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! GO LIONS! I have never yelled GO PACK GO until yesterday. Thank you Lions....
They did 2 things this week that have not been done in last few. 1st.. play action fake to back. This is key. Freezes line backers for a second.2nd... 2 step drop was huge too. Megatron and the quick slant was unstoppable.
Another key was pressure from D line. They were mean and nasty. Love it.
To be Great you must be Consistent. Coaches need to work harder and smarter to have players mentally ready?
Dave
I believe the lions will make some plays this week in Philly. That will make the hair on the back of my neck, stand up. I still pick the lions by 10 points. I think this team jells together. Finally !

Its all good mojo. the best part is when your a big enough person to know its time to eat it and then put it all behind ya.... sometimes it make us better people ya know ...
GO Packers !!!!!
ps I didnt say i was going to change teams ;D ;D ;D
Mondaynight in Detroit. Wow vary cool. Do you think the blue out will help the lions beat the ravines. Or are they done!!!! Seems like they just gave up last week in Philly.
They are going downhill fast. Seems they have got out coached the past 4
Weeks or so. If Cutler and Aaron Rodgers were healthy they wouldn't stand a chance in this division. With the amount of talent on the lions they should be much better, their play is just pathetic
Looks like the Eagle out Foxed the Lion in the second half Sunday. I think the D line went in at half and ate a Turkey dinner and called it a day.
I believe cabin fever has set in on us Lion fans, but it is a home game Monday and prime time. I"ll say it again ,to be GREAT you must be consistent. Take care of the ball fellas and you win by 20
Desperate Lions Fan

The snow bowl loss was my fault. Someone sent me a message to take a look at the snow. I turned the game on to see Detroit leading and then almost everything blew apart from there!!! I turned the game off a few minutes and the Lions had their one last great moment. My friend said, see you're not a jinx. Turn it back on.
Turned it back on and PHOOOFFF!! Snow bowl turns into a blizzard nightmare against the Lions. I couldn't not watch the nightmare unfold after that... oh boy.
Not sure what to do now that bad things keep happening?? I will NOT be watching Monday night so maybe there will be a big, last minute turn-around back to 1st place!?!
Good luck to all you Lions fans. I will be thinking about something else until Tuesday just in case it makes a difference.
Stick a fork in them now....they are done....they suck.....forever
Don't say forever. Nothing is forever.
Well... a few things are forever.
For the record, I did not watch, or even peak at the game. So someone else must be the jinx! Maybe Dave Mercer? He's Canadian...
OK what can I say. I'm not giving up on the lions but, do they still have a chance at 12 wins. If they win from here on out, and the super bowl? Come on man!!!
I said at the beginning of this season that the Lions were no better than a .500 team. 7 and 7 going into today's game against the New York Football Giants. Down at the half 13 to 3. They are going to finish 8 and 8. Boy, I sure would like to be wrong. :o They got no game at all. They lose games they should win. Good teams find a way to win. Last week the Baltimore Ravens showed us why they are a good team and why the Lions are not. It's just the way it is.
I sure would like to be wrong. It would be the best "crow" I ever ate. :o
BD ;D
They sure make it tough to be a die hard lions fan.
Schwartz will be gone next monday. If not he should be.
You guys have to remember. " They are the Lions " They have never been real good in my lifetime. And I am old. They have flashes of brilliance then back to there old selves. They get old used players ( Bush ) and want us to love them. Stafford is good then bad all in the same game. Even Johnson is starting to fade a little.
They will probably fire Schwartz and the poor guy will have to get by on 6 million a year for 2 years.
Good thing is next year we all will get excited about the new era of the Lions.
Merry Christmas all.
Steve Smith
commerce, mi
I am older and they have not been good in my 54 years. I can not get excited about another "new era" of the Lions. How many of those have we gone through. So as far as the Lions are concerned.............whatever.
BD ;D
I'm older yet. I had a "1957 Detroit Lions World Champions" sweatshirt when I was young.
How sad that a great sports town like Detroit has put up with a team that has the worst record in professional sports.
Ya I know, but it is still fun pickin on them isn't it? I mean come on guys if we didn't have the lions . We wouldn't have anything to compare happyness too.
Good teams win in the NFL. The Lions are not a good team. Is the potential there for them to be a good team?? ??? I say yes!! It isn't the coaching. It's the mistakes made on the field by veteran players. Injuries did not help this year either but compared to recent years, not as much of a factor. UAWBigDog's prediction for tomorrow against the Vikings is the Lions lead the whole game and then lose in the last minutes.........again. :'(

thank you lions.....dadgummit!
Is there a chance the nfl will take this team out of Michigan so we don't have to watch anymore...I heard they wanted a team overseas in London
Actually there is a major conglomerate looking at the Bills right now, moving them to Grand Rapids ? There would be no faster team shaped up and off to the Super Bowl than the Lions if there was competition for the Fords in Michigan.
I was front row 34 yard line Lions side, saw them on the sidelines, Ackers bless his heart, kicked into that net over 120 times. We counted ! They didn't goof around. These last 4 losses are on the back foot throwing, no touch on his pass, side armed, happy feet QB. He developed these habits last year and he needs a QB coach ASAP......
Anyway, I'll pick this up with you guys next year, where the Lions last let me down, which is week 16 2014.......
Another wonderful game. Fire them all.
The Lions certainly showed their game yesterday. All I have to say is "pathetic!!!" How about those Packers?!? Now they've got game!!!
BD. ;D
All I can say is, COME ON MAN!!!! How many different ways can they lose a game?
Schwartz gone!!.....what loser do they hire next??
Funny my son was pumped about him getting canned. This was the first coach firing since he started fantasy football. I told him to be ready for this every few years as long as the Ford's own the Lions. With 6 million a year for 2 years he can spend more time fishing with KVD,
The list is long of former Lions coaches.
