FLW Outdoors kicks off 'Look for the Hook' Sweepstakes
Nearly $100,000 in prizes including a Chevy Silverado truck, Ranger boat and five all-expense-paid trips to the 2007 Forrest Wood Cup to be awarded throughout March 1-June 15 contest
01.Mar.2007

After an overwhelming response to the inaugural online contest in 2006, FLW Outdoors is proud to announce that it is bringing back the second installment of the "Look for the Hook" Sweepstakes (http://www.flwoutdoors.com/games/lookforthehook/) in 2007. Throughout the 107-day contest, participants can win daily "instant winner" prizes on FLWOutdoors.com by simply submitting UPC codes from a variety of qualifying sponsor packaging. Daily "instant winner" prize packages include annual FLW Outdoors memberships, clothing certificates from Ranger Boats, multiple sponsor product prize packages as well a variety of FLW Outdoors apparel.

In addition, everyone who participates in the contest, whether they are an "instant winner" or not, will be eligible to win (via a random drawing) one of five all-expense-paid trips for two to the 2007 Forrest Wood Cup (http://flw.flwoutdoors.com/tournament.cfm?cid=1&tid=5637) in Hot Springs, Ark., slated for Lake Ouachita, Aug. 2-5. Each first-place prize package, which includes round-trip airfare for two, three nights' accommodations, $200 spending money, hotel transfers and VIP tournament seating, is valued at approximately $1,400.

But that's not all. One of the five first-place prize contestants who win a trip to the 2007 Forrest Wood Cup will also walk away with the grand prize – a brand new Chevy Silverado pickup truck, Ranger Comanche boat-and-tow package outfitted with Berkley fishing gear and year's supply of BP gasoline valued at approximately $85,000.

How to play

To learn if you're an instant winner, simply go to FLWOutdoors.com beginning March 1 and enter the UPC code of any one of 150 qualifying sponsor products in the "Enter Code" box on the "Look for the Hook" Sweepstakes homepage (http://www.flwoutdoors.com/games/lookforthehook/). You may enter online as often as you wish; however, you must have a unique UPC number from a different participating product for each online entry. For example, you may type in the UPC code from a 18-ounce box of Kellogg's Raisin Bran Crunch in the "Enter Code" box, and then, later, type in a second UPC code from different qualifying sponsor product. But you can't type in the UPC code from the same product twice.

However, while there is a limit of one online entry per unique UPC code/product, duplicate UPC codes can be cut out and mailed to the "Look for the Hook" Sweepstakes, PMI Station, P.O. Box 3563, Southbury, CT 06488-3563 for additional chances to win. See official rules here. (http://www.flwoutdoors.com/games/lookforthehook/officialRules.pdf)

Grand prize rules

During the 2007 Forrest Wood Cup, five first-place prize winners will also have an opportunity to win the grand prize – a brand new Chevy Silverado truck, Ranger Comanche boat outfitted with Berkley fishing gear and a year's supply of BP gasoline. Each finalist will randomly draw an ignition key that may or may not start the grand prize tow vehicle. Each key will have a tag with a number between one and five that will determine the order in which the finalists will try their key. Only one of the five keys will start the ignition. After all five finalists have received their ignition keys, each finalist will have a turn trying to start the grand prize tow vehicle. The finalist whose key starts the prize tow vehicle is the grand prize winner.

Remember, the "Look for the Hook" Sweepstakes begins Thursday, March 1 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time. So don't delay. Look for the "hook" on sponsor packaging and start collecting those UPC symbols today!
