Here's a little update from the Soccer front. My 12 year old son is playing up an age group with his club. The WazaFC West Boys Black 00 has been playing in the State Cup Tournament for Michigan and they have made it down to the final 8 teams. The #1 team, PSG Nova has been knocked out. All three U13 Waza teams are in the final 8. Waza North out of Grand Blanc, Waza East out of Rochester, and Alec's team Waza West out of Livonia are the Waza teams still in it. The 4 quarter final games will be played in Saginaw on May 18, 2013. Alec's team WazaFC West plays Saturday May 18, 2013 at 2:30pm at Saginaw Township Soccer Complex on McCarty Road @ 2:30pm. They will be playing a very good Michigan Vardar Club. This is the team that knocked off Nova. If Alec's team wins they will play the next day Sunday May 19, 2013 at the Saginaw Township Soccer Complex as well.

Waza West advanced by winning all three of their preliminary games to advance to the Round of 16. They played their Round of 16 game at Olivet High School last Sunday May 5 over the Michigan Burn out of New Baltimore 5 to 1.

Alec has had a good tournament so far with 2 goals and 9 assists in 4 games. Not bad for a 12 year old playing with 13 year olds.
