Title: 5/4 lsc
Post by: bassfan586 on May 04, 2013, 08:00:23 PM
First time out this year.  Headed down to the mile rds from crocker.  Water very dirty. 12" visibilty at best all th way out to 10-12' fow.  Temps @ 7am mid 50's.  Temps @3:30 when I left low 60's.  12 fish mixed bag of largies, smallies, rockies and a large over zealous golden shiner 10" that hit my spinner bait. Deeper was key for me most fish 8' fow.  Caught a couple nice smallies in 20' fow of water in the current at windmill point on dropshots.  I tried everything but tubes.  I would rather watch paint dry than fish tubes.  Just too boring. Waves sucked. 2 drift socks and still cooking along.  I hope the water clears a bi for the open.  If not its larvies I  the canals for me. :(

Nice to hear you got a couple down by Windmill.  I wouldn't have expected that.  Maybe it's time to hit GP Shores.  Is it cleaner water down there?
