This is my first attempt at making a crankbait. I made so many mistakes with these first two cranks its not even funny. You can do all the research you want, but until you make the mistakes, you will never know. You can pick these things apart if you start looking real close. Heck, my first one looks like it was hit by a paintball gun. ::) I have made several changes to the ones I am hoping to fish with. But the end result of these at least give me some confidence to try again. Criticism is appreciated.
Hand made balsa crankbaits. 100% made in Michigan.

Can a mod please move this to the correct forum topic?
first off hand made in michigan dont get any better than that.trial and error .these look good i would be willing to try them if you ever want to sell a couple..or do product testing for ya....lol
That paintball mark looks more like a trademark than a mistake. Nice work.
I think you did a great job! It's tough learning to do one thing at a time (making baits OR painting baits), so I have to give you mad props for jumping right in and doing both. On my first handmade balsa, I just about cut half of my thumb off :D. Let us know how they work out for you.
They look like they will catch fish to me !!!!! Keep up the good work. :)
Thanks everyone. I am painting my second set now. I'll post pics of that sloppy mess when I'm done. :D
