Post by: Local Rookie on September 22, 2006, 07:01:12 AM
Any information on fishing Muskegon lake in the fall? What is easier to locate Largemouth or Smallmouth? I will be going the first or second week in October and I have never been there before.

Well i havent been there in about a month but before that i spend about every weekend up in that neck of the woods(im from LaPorte,IN). Id say that the largemouth bite would be better unless you wanna head out to the peirheads. I have a classic up there this weekend so i will have a little better report since there making us stay in Muskegon(blah) those toads at White are calling my name this week and i cant go get them! >:( oh well ill do just fine at Muskegon. The lake has alot of good structure and tons of cover on it whatever you like fishing you can find it here wood, rocks, weeds they got it all. Im not saying oyur gonna load the boat on all them but they all hold fish.
