Post by: stcroix on April 18, 2012, 09:49:08 PM
Headed up in about two weeks.  Just wanted to know what kind of condition the lake is in aroun mile rds.  If the water is colored or not.  Any info would help greatly.

It could change quite a bit between now and then so you might want to ask close to the Michigan bass catch and release opener. I have links on the GreatLakesBass.com weather page (http://glbass.com/weather) to satellite images and weather buoys you can also check.

It would be nice if those bouys showed water temp. Does anyone know or have a link that shows current water temps?

The temps have varied  from the 60's in the canals to out in open water the 50's. Depending on which way the wind blows its clear some places and muddy others. Pan fish biting. I've fished the canals in Lans Cruse, Campau, and Anchor. Perch, crappie, gills Rock Bass.

Everything you need is on the GreatLakesBass.com Weather page. Everything. Including temps (http://www.greatlakesbass.com/weather/#gltemp). The Canadian weather buoy (http://www.greatlakesbass.com/weather/#stlbuoys) has water temps also.
