Interesting tip. Have you fished with one yet with that split ring on there? I don't think it can cause any issues?

Wonder about additional wire fatigue if you spread them way out and then bend them back down with the split ring? I know my rig took a horrible beating in the Amazon and didn't break so I'm not sure what to think yet about people who say they are breaking them??

I have not noticed any issues with action.  Also, I think this may actually reduce the need to rebend as much.

I'll have to try it. First I have to get some more rigs. I left my originals in the jungle.
